Thought for today:
‘You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.’

Yesterday I took the plunge.
I committed to my next formal training program when I complete my current System Team Coaching qualification.
In September of this year I will start training as a Supervisor.
The relationship between a counsellor or coach and their supervisor is complex, and in fact many coaches do not have a supervisor.
Therapists do because it is a requirement of their professional body.
Therapists have supervisors, and supervisors have supervisors.
It is a pyramid of support that holds a therapist aloft and helps them practice safely whilst growing.
I found this description which I quite liked:
“Supervision is a process of ‘ongoing collaborative, experiential and transformational learning’ that draws on practice and research-based knowledge.”
It is a new chapter in my life, an exciting and challenging development for me.
No regrets the day after signing on the dotted line – I want to do this.
