How often do we get to sit and watch the sunset?
It is a slow process and a fast process, somehow it sounds like a long time to sit and watch for an hour or so. Yet in a blink of an eye, the sun slips down below the horizon.
I’ve been watching the sunset each day, over the sea where it is easiest (with clear skies) to know when it has actually set.
Last night, standing on a beach, we watched the sun slip down yet there was a cloud on the horizon and the moment was hard to discern.
The light before and after is magical, and to be present in that moment was also magical.
I was there to enjoy the moment and the place.
As an agnostic, I express gratitude rather than worship.
