As I usually do, I walked across the park to grab a paper this morning.
Yet something unusual caught my eye.
A group of about a dozen people gathered outside the community centre.
In England lockdown eases significantly today, and here was the local badminton club gathered to play.
It was such an unusual thing – it felt like a huge crowd!
I have my second vaccination next week, yet I didn’t feel anxious.
It was nice to hear the gentle murmur of their chatter, the excitement.
It is a small sign things are returning to normal, even here, out in the sticks.
