Although this is a month of stepping back (and changing direction) I still have a few client sessions.
So I have to stop being a potter, or artist, or writer and actually do some real work.
In one such session, the question of vulnerability came up.
In the context of always being right pushes people away and doesn’t help them learn and grow.
This is one of the very hardest lessons I think.
I true leader not only understands that he/she/they do not know it all.
They also understand that in order to connect with other people and to develop a coaching culture, they need to allow space for others to be right.
I really enjoy this process of working with a client who wants to do this rather than feeling like they have been told to do it (usually by a board member or mentor).
