I woke this morning to news of a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The more I read about this, the less I understand.
In many ways, the less I want to understand.
It saddens me that all that we have gained, all the technology and social advances, are simply undermined by one nation or group of nations, opposing another.
I cannot change it, I cannot influence it, I can either choose to worry about it or choose to not worry about it. I choose to not worry about it, as I didn’t when I first heard about Covid in January 2020.
Worrying about potential futures when you have no influence over them makes us unhappy when whatever happens (good or bad for me) is inevitable.
So I choose to stay calm, keep working, and be grateful for what I have around me.
I may not be happy about the events, but I choose to stay happy in this moment.
So can you.
